A design-driven, family-owned company, Innovations has been creating unique wallcoverings since 1975. Their Design Studio, in New York City, collaborates with artisans around the world to develop solutions for the vertical surface – all offered with the highest level of personal service. Based in fashionable Soho, Innovations’ designers find inspiration from the artists and galleries surrounding the Design Studio, as well as from their far-flung travels in search of unique materials. They’ve found woodworkers in Japan, weavers in the Philippines and couture apparel fabrications in Europe and together learned how to translate beautiful craft onto the vertical wall.
Driven by design, Innovations has become one of the world’s leading manufacturers of wallcoverings and now offers a curated selection of faux leathers and drapery sheers. Led by Founder and CEO Rudy Mayer and his son Vice President Alex Mayer, the Innovations Design Studio carries on the legacy, developing unique and creative solutions for the vertical plane.
The large product line contains innovative Type 2 Vinyl wallcoverings for contract, healthcare, & hospitality projects requiring material to meet industry standards and codes along with natural papers - grasscloths, silks, textiles, and many other inspired materials. All product is ASTM-E84 Class A Fire Rated.
